Apart from the Prodigal son, we've all been there, we've all done that! Forgotten and losing our way that is.
Whether it's a forgotten phone; having a glass or two more after a night's heavy binging or whether it's something more serious, like Alzheimers. At some point in our lives, we've all been lost for some reason. The only seemingly logical solutions in these cases is to sit at the curve and weep your misfortune!
Fret not all you lost ones as there is a solution at hand and closer than you think. If Dorothy from the wizard of Oz could get her little hands on a pair of shoes that transported her home 500 years ago and in the zone of childrens' fables, I'm sure 21st Century Technology in the zone of Gadget Wizardry can find a solution.
Behold, the first pair of shoes that can actually ''show'' you the way home! It's a pair of shoes that have a GPS Antenna, special software, a USB port, lights and little arrows and is probably the only pair of shoes that comes with a software CD and USB cable.
You pragramme your coordinates into the shoe via the specially designed sotware installed on your PC through USB cable to your shoe. The next time you click your heels together (yes, seriously! You don't have to be Dorothy), the system activates and on the right shoe you have a row of LED lights that shows you how close you are to your destination and on the left, a tri-directional LED indicator that shows the direction you should follow. So If you don't mind looking at your shoes to get to your destination, then this could just be your ''ticket'' home.
This ultimate Geek fashion accessory was designed by Dominic Wilcox, made by stamp shoes just outside Northamptonshire, a place renowned for shoemaking and is a prototype. But with a growing fashion trend of WiFi illuminated Shirts, MP3 integrated Beanie hats and LED gloves, could this be the birth in the rise of clothing and apparel that may just have other applications, besides just concealing our privates (and I don't mean army conscripts).
Besides, rumor has it that a company in China already has dibbs on the idea and could just start mass production by the end of the year. You may just see it first on www.gadget-republic.com
